Macmillan Coffee Morning

Friday 24th September 2021

Dear Parents/Carers

Please come and join us next Friday morning, from 9am, for a tea or coffee and a delicious slice of cake. We shall be serving refreshments on the rear playground with seating in the hall and dining area. We hope that you are able to join us in raising money for what is a very worthwhile cause.

We are asking for any donations of cakes to be sent into school next week with your child/children or please drop any items off to the school office. All pupils will have the opportunity to select one items at breaktime on Friday in exchange for a small donation.

We look forward to seeing you all next Friday.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Waltham Cross Town Centre Proposals

About the consultation

The ambition is for Waltham Cross to be a safe, vibrant and thriving town centre that is a place of opportunity for residents and businesses, and somewhere that members of the public want to visit and shop. To assist with this vision, Broxbourne Council and its partners have submitted a bid to the Government’s Levelling Up Fund (LUF) to make improvements to the layout and look and feel of Waltham Cross Town Centre.

As part of that bid, the Council consulted with residents, businesses, visitors and other interested parties in May 2021 on the outline principles of the improvements. The results of the bid are awaited. Since submitting the bid, the proposals have been developed further and the Council is now seeking feedback on modernising the look and feel of the town centre which includes:

• The creation of a ‘flexible’ High Street

• Greater opportunities for residents to walk and cycle around the town centre

• A new cycle track along the western side of Monarchs Way

• A new ‘green wall’ along Monarchs Way

The consultation is open until midnight on Sunday 3 October.
