All of our KS2 children had the exciting opportunity to attend a fun day out at Essex Outdoors in Harlow. We were all wrapped up ready for the day ahead and even the threat of rain didn't bother us as we waited for the train for the short journey to Harlow. As we arrived at the station, the heavens opened and we knew that we were in for an extremely wet day of fun.
The staff at the centre were very welcoming and once the lunches were stored away, the children were sent off to their selected activities. There were seven of these in total ranging from high ropes to canoeing. Some of the children were extremely lucky and had a dry time indoors climbing, where - in contrast - those outside were getting completely soaked in torrential rain. Of course, some of the children in Year 6 made sure of a soaking by diving into the river!!
Regardless of the weather, as you can see from the photo gallery, all of the children and staff from Four Swannes had a fantastic time and a great day out.
