Four Swannes Primary School
Diversity. Inclusion. Belonging
Good morning to all the Four Swannes community.
I hope that you are all enjoying the summer break and are getting the chance to relax and enjoy the wonderful weather. As stated previously, the work on the EYFS area is about to begin and Miss O’Connor and I thought it would be good to share the work as it is carried out. The first set of pictures show an empty area, with all the items moved ready for work to begin. The project will start in earnest this Wednesday, 14th August, and we will take photos to show the progress up to completion. I hope that you are as excited as me to see the transition towards a bright and inviting area for our children to play and learn in!
The reception classroom is going to be repainted to freshen it up (nursery will now be worked on in the October half term). Again, this will offer a clean and inviting environment for our children to progress in.
There has been a slight delay in having the new electric gates fitted and work on these will now commence the week beginning Monday 9th September. Slightly disappointing as it would have been lovely to have this finished, ready for our return for the new academic year.
All the old coat pegs have been removed and the areas made good ready for the new lockers to be delivered in the last week of August. Each child in KS1 and KS2 will now have their own locker to store their book bags and coats etc when they return.
Finally (for now), a new notice board has been erected by the main parent entrance to the school grounds. This will eventually contain any information to be shared with you all and will also be where the school will share attendance information with you all to keep you informed.
I look forward to giving you another update on the works in the coming weeks.
